The 22nd Annual Cowtown 15`s Rugby Tournament will be held on October 4, 2008, at Gateway Park in Fort Worth. Details regarding registration, competitive divisions, participants, the Saturday Night Party at the Rahr Brewery, and everything else about this year`s Cowtown are available here.

Division, Brackets, and Schedules

Final division and schedules will be announced during the week prior to the event.

Each registered team is guaranteed a minumum of 3 forty-minute matches and a maximum of 4.

At a minimum, the Cowtown will feature the following divisions:
Men`s Club Premier
Men`s Club Open
College Men`s Premier
College Men`s Open


The Cowtown Tournament Committee may combine or split divisions in the interest of competitiveness.

Saturday Night Cowtown Rugby Party at the Rahr Brewery

Party at Rahr & Sons Brewery

On Saturday night following the final matches, there will be a rugby party at the Rahr and Sons Brewery. The Brewery is minutes from Gateway Park and an easy drive to local hotels.

A map, schedule, and more details on the party will be included in your tournament information packet.

 

Hotel Information

The following hotels are only a few miles from the pitch. The pitches are two miles from downtown - an easy drive straight down I-30. The event hosts recommend staying in downtown Fort Worth where theatres, resturaunts, bars, etc. are all within easy walking distance. Go to www.sundancesquare.com for more info. The historic Stockyards are also a quick taxi ride down Main Street should anyone want to take in the country scene. You can visit www.fortworthstockyards.org for more info.

Weather.com lists average highs for Fort Worth at 76 degrees and overnight average lows at 60 degrees in mid-October. This is a beautiful time in Fort Worth, with typically bright blue skies, lots of sun, and cool breezes.
